National Poetry Month: Day 3: Langston Hughes "April Rain Song"
Happy Wednesday!
It is day three of National Poetry Month. As you know, I have been sharing some of my favorite poems and poets with you.
Today's poem is by the handsome Harlem Renaissance man Langston Hughes. This poem is very fitting, since it is April and this month is known for its showers.
In a deeper sense, we all experience rain in our lives. Embrace it and face it because brighter days are on their way!
With Love,
-T. Amour

April Rain Song
Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.
