The GRAMMYs 2013: Memorable Moments

In continuation of the performance post, (see here) there were many great memories at this year's awards show as well. From sexy dresses and funny punchlines to strange moments and "boss moments", here are some great moments.

Miguel and Wiz Khalifa - I didn't put this under performances because it was so short. But man, was it sweet to hear Miguel serenade the crowd with "Adorn". He won Best R&B song for "Adorn" and it was WELL DESERVED. Wiz brought his usual unique swag out with a oddly patterned suit, no shirt, and a few great lines to add to an even better song. Miguel NEVER plays with the vocals.

Kelly Rowland slays the Red Carpet- Okay. I know you all think I am some closet lesbian when it comes to Kelly Rowland. I am not, but I have no problem admitting when another woman is beautiful. And when Kelly stepped on that red carpet in the dress below, she shut it down. Best dressed woman of the night. Point. Blank. Period. If you don't know why Trey is obsessed with her, you can see why.

Beyoncé and Ellen - So, Bey and Ellen were the announcers for Justin Timberlake's big comeback performance. Beyoncé tried hard to be her usual, focused self, but her silly, playful side came out as Ellen gave her a stare down, causing her to slightly flub her lines. Good Moment.

Prince and his Greatness - Last night was so awesome that Prince decided to emerge and grace us all with his presence. Although he didn't perform (*sad face*), the Great One came out to present the "Record of the Year" award looking half his age in an all-black ensemble. You know you are a legend when you show up, say literally 2 sentences and the internet goes nuts.

2 Chainz as Black Zorro - Speaking of people with all black on, rapper 2 Chainz pulled up to the scene with a cape on last night. Idk what look he was channeling (Zorro, bullfighter...), but it was all Versace baby!

Mavis Staples saying "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" - I love gospel music and I love Mavis Staples. But I don't know what was going on at the end of her performance with Elton John when she kept singing "yeah, yeah, yeah". Holy Spirit, maybe? Either way, she is a legend, so she can do that, I guess...

Jay-Z's Low Blow - Mr. Carter hit artist and producer The Dream with a low blow. The Dream went on stage with Jay-Z and Frank Ocean to accept the award for "No Church in the Wild" and The Dream looked pretty damn ridiculous with two strange hats on. Jay-Z walked up to the mike and said "I would like to thank the swapmeet for his hat". Twitter was set on fire. Hilarious.

Reunited and It Feels So GOOD: Breezy and Rih

BUT, one of the best moment (and picture) of all was seeing Chris Brown and Rihanna together again at the GRAMMYs and making their love known to the world. Despite how anyone may feel, they looked great and what they do is their business! Sending good vibes their way.

What were your memorable moments from the 2012 GRAMMYs?

-T. Amour
